What Does Grief Feel Like?

“What Does Grief Feel Like?”

First of all, grief would feel different for everyone. We may experience the same loss, the same person, but yet our grief would still be different.

Grief made us to understand death even more. A friend of mine asked me if it felt different from knowing that our loved ones would be gone one day and experiencing it first hand. Of course experiencing it first hand would take your grief to another level. Knowing your loved one is no longer here, with you.

Grief feels like being thrown in the middle of ocean without knowing how to swim, how to survive. All we can do is understand the wave and learning how to swim on the hard way.

Grief feels like a lot and sometimes feels like nothing. We can wake up one day feels quite okay and knowing that our loved one is in a better place (hoping so), other days feels like sh*t and all you wanna do is just lay in the bed all day reminiscing all the memories you had with your loved one.

Grief is overwhelming, lonely, and sucks. Regardless of how terrible it might sound, sadly that’s truth and reality.

People may try to cheer you up or saying nice things about your loved one to make you feel better. But sometimes it’s just a lot to proceed when you knew that the only way to make you feel better is when your loved one is around, alive, and healthy.

If you just recently loss your loved one, I am so sorry for your loss. I am with you.
