Being left behind by a loved one is not easy. It will never be easy. That morning we could still see his laughter, then suddenly, our loved ones just left. Sometimes, even without saying goodbye. So fast, so very fast. Like a haunting nightmare.
“It is kind of shocking when your world falls to pieces and everything and everyone around you carries on with life. How can the birds continue to sing? How can people carry on loving life? It is like you have become frozen in time and are now watching life like a movie. As the weeks and month rolls by, life becomes more real again, but you will never forget that point in time where life stood still” - Zoe Clark-Coates.
So what to do? Sometimes learning to accept reality is a viable option. In the end, death forces us to learn a lot. Learn to accept that life is no longer the same, learn to accept that loved ones are no longer together, and learn to accept all feelings that are felt.
"You're not alone, really," they said. True, every day there is always news of grief and loss of family. But in fact, in the face of suffering that exists we are alone. We feel and go through various emotional turmoil that comes alone. It feels lonely, alone. The world seems to have stopped.
Most of our lives are filled with uncertainty, and the only thing that is certain is that at some point in life, we will all leave or be left behind. For those who are currently grieving, I am sorry for the loss of a loved one. I am with you. I share your sadness and hold you in all your sorrow. Sending you strengths and lights.
